I have a webserver running IIS7 on server 2008 standard x64, I am looking to install Kerio Connect (email server) onto the same machine.

I need to keep port 80 for the main IIS server, however I would like my users to be able to goto webmail.mydomain.com and get to the kerio login screen.

Now my question is how do I get webmail.mydomain.com to point to port 81 on the same server.

While the use is simple on IIS or Apache web servers, on Kerio Connect it is a bit more complicated as it comes with its own web server.

Here is how I set it up (there might be other ways, of course, please feel free to add your comments at the bottom of the page).

When run for the first time, it will ask you for your email address and to accept the TOS.

I prefer to run it on Linux, but for customers who are afraid to do that, they can run it on Windows or Mac.

As to Control, I prefer to sell the hardware box, but customers can use the software version if they prefer.
